This four-day, face-to-face course is built around real operational scenarios and contemporary emergency management practice. It strengthens participants’ ability to identify, assess, and treat risk, and to make clear, defensible decisions under pressure.

Units of competency covered
Successful completion contributes toward the Certificate IV in Public Safety (Leadership) and includes all four nationally recognised units:
- PUAEMR005 – Treat operational risk
- PUAEMR006 – Assess operational risk
- PUAEMR010 – Plan and implement a treatment measure
- PUAEMR019 – Contribute to an emergency risk management process
These units apply to personnel with supervisory or management responsibilities working within established organisational policies and procedures.
